This Privacy Policy governs the data and privacy practices of Huizhou Joinyoo Tech Co., Ltd. (referred to as “we,” “us,” “our,” or “the Developer”), the developer and publisher of the ChillBee mobile application (the “App”). The App is developed by Huizhou Joinyoo Tech Co., Ltd. on a commission basis, and is designed exclusively to connect, communicate with, and control portable Bluetooth-enabled fridge devices (the “Device”) that are developed and provided by chillbee inc. (the “Device Manufacturer”). We are fully committed to protecting user privacy and ensuring full transparency in compliance with Google Play policies and applicable data protection laws.
By downloading, installing, or using the ChillBee App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the App immediately.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
ChillBee is built with user privacy as a core design principle, and wedo not collect, store, transmit, or share any form of personal or device data under any circumstances. Specifically:
• We do NOT collect, store, or upload any personally identifiable information (PII), including but not limited to your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or other personal identifiers.
• We do NOT collect, store, or share any Bluetooth device data (such as MAC addresses, device names, or signal strength) on external servers or with third parties; all related data is processed locally only.
• We do NOT collect location data, usage analytics, crash logs, or browsing history from your mobile device.
• We do NOT sell, rent, lease, or distribute any user-related data to advertisers, analytics providers, or any external third parties.
2. Purpose of Bluetooth BLE Permissions
The ChillBee App only requests Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) related permissions on your mobile device, and these permissions are used solely for connecting to and controlling the chillbee inc. portable fridge Device with no additional or unauthorized purposes. The permitted uses are strictly limited to:
• Scanning for nearby compatible BLE fridge devices to establish a secure local connection.
• Maintaining a stable BLE connection between your mobile device and the fridge Device for real-time control and communication.
• Sending basic control commands (including temperature adjustment, power on/off, and mode switching) from the App to the fridge Device.
• Receiving and displaying real-time status updates from the fridge Device, such as current temperature and operating mode.
Key Compliance Note: All BLE communication and data exchange between the ChillBee App and the fridge Device occurs locally on your mobile device only. No data is sent to cloud servers, third-party platforms, or external servers at any time. Bluetooth permissions are only active when the App is running in the foreground; the App does not scan for or connect to BLE devices in the background without your explicit manual operation.
3. Required Permissions Explanation
ChillBee only requests the minimal permissions necessary for core BLE device connectivity, with no unnecessary or excessive permission requests:
• Bluetooth & BLE Connect Permissions: Mandatory for scanning, pairing, and communicating with the compatible fridge Device; this is the core permission for the App’s intended functionality.
• Android Bluetooth Admin Permissions: Used only for stable device pairing and connection management on Android devices, with no additional data access rights.
• Location Permission (Android 11 and below only): Required by the Android system to enable BLE device scanning (a mandatory system-level requirement). We do NOT access, collect, track, or use any location data — this permission is only used to enable BLE scanning and serves no other purpose.
The App does NOT request any other permissions, including camera, microphone, storage, internet access, or contact access.
4. Data Security & Storage
As the ChillBee App does not collect, store, or transmit any user personal data or Device-related data, there is no sensitive data stored on your mobile device or our servers. All temporary BLE communication data is automatically and completely discarded once the App is closed or the Device connection is terminated, with no residual data left on your device.
5. Third-Party Services & Device Manufacturer
The ChillBee App does not integrate any third-party services, including advertising platforms, analytics tools, social media plugins, or cloud storage services. The only related third party is chillbee inc., the manufacturer of the compatible fridge Device; we do not share any user or device data with the Device Manufacturer, and all local communication is limited to App-Device control only.
6. Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has used the App, we will take immediate steps to ensure no data is processed (as no data is collected) and address the concern promptly.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to comply with legal requirements, Google Play policy changes, or App functionality adjustments. Material changes will be posted within the App, and the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document will be revised accordingly. Continued use of the App after the updated policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
